Abstract
Language is an important factor in communication tools. By communication people can build a good relationship. In order to make a good communication, they have to understand well what the speakers say. In this case, learning speech act theory is important to cover this problem. Speech acts is in act which can be performed through utterances. The purpose of this research was to know the types of Speech acts which were dominantly presented by Zootopia Movie . The type of research used in this research is descriptive analysis. The data was using speech act by the main character of the Zootopia Movie, Juddy Hopps, which contains illocutionary speech. Illocutionary utterances are divided into 5, namely representative, directive, commissive. and declarative. The function of Illocutionary act such as. Data collection techniques in this research was using listening methods and note-taking techniques. The validity of the data is obtaining through observer persistence and triangulation of other observers. The results of this research are the form of illocutionary speech acts found in the Zootopia Movie contain 42 utterance by the main character , Each classification has several types, such as a representative of 7 utterances, namely, 2 utterances informing, 1 utterance complaining, 1 explaining, 1 utterance arguing, 1 describing, 1 agreeing utterance. There are 9 directive utterances, namely, requesting 2 utterances, suggesting 1 utterance, commanding 2 utterances, warning 2 utterances, questioning 2 utterances. Commissive consists of 4 utterances, namely pledging 1 utterance, promising 1 utterance, threatening 2 utterances. There are 17 expressive utterances, namely, Greetings 5 utterances, mocking 2 utterances, expressing possibility 1, expressing anger 2, expressing like 3, expressing dislike 2, expressing regret 2. Declarative consists of 2 utterances, punishment 1, declaring status of 1 utterances.When the function of illocutionary speech acts containing in the Zootopia Movie such as competitive 2 speech, demanding 1 speech, reign 1 speech. Convivial 2 utterances, acknowledgments 1, greetings 1. Conflictive 2 utterances, scolding 1 utterance, reprimanding 1 utterance.
